In a bold move, WASI continues it's transformation by eliminating its brokerage.
"The brokerage was a leftover branch from the old CondoWorld days", according to WASI management,
"We need to show our affiliates WASI is here to help them, not compete against them."
WASI is a TIX Gateway Licensing Authority, connecting brokerages, resorts, and management
companies to public and private channel markets. WASI is on the internet at www.wasi.com
WASI is working with industry sources to provide favorable financing terms for buyers on the
secondary market. According to Brad R. Evert, WASI’s Chief Executive Officer, “The goal of the
Fund is to make vacation ownership available to the younger and middle-class market that can grow
into mainstream timeshare buyers.” Scheduled to launch early in 2007, the Fund will enable
families to purchase an enhanced vacation experience with a monthly price tag that equates to
a cable bill, or dinner and a movie. WASI is on the internet at www.wasi.com
After a year of impressive results, WASI announces it will expand its Managed Market Program worldwide.
Priced at just $49, and launched in 2005 to targeted resorts in the U.S and Mexico,
WASI’s program includes full brokerage agency support. To develop Managed Market® WASI started with the
fundamental principles of supply and demand and developed a targeted marketing strategy that delivers superior
performance for timeshare sellers and renters that virtually eliminates competition with primary market sales.
Managed Market® yields average 20% higher for secondary market sales, and an amazing $204 ADR for rentals.
At the heart of the Managed Market Program is the Timeshare Information Exchange (TIX), a routable live market
feed that efficiently connects and distributes nightly and weekly vacation inventory to public and private
channel markets. WASI established its own Gateway to TIX back in 2005 and now reaches a market of over
120 million. More information is available on the WASI website at www.wasi.com
On the strength of the TIX live market feed and Managed Market pilot program, WASI announces it will no longer
charge upfront fees for advertising. "This is a great day for Timeshare and Condo owners", says Robin Evert, WASI's Chief Operating Officer.
"Owners should only pay for services received." WASI's $49 Managed Market service replaces the old program.
As part of WASI's agreement with one of the world's largest online Condo rental providers Internet Vacations, Inc. (IVI), WASI
enhanced the system to handle nightly reservations. IVI requested the enhancement to respond to market demand and
provide an outlet for resort-direct inventory.
One of the world's largest online Condo rental providers, Internet Vacations, Inc. (IVI) has awarded
WASI the contract to update its online booking engine and improve its distribution network. WASI leveraged
TIX technology in 2004 to enable IVI to secure the condo inventory required to support IVI's new Costco and
AFLCIO markets.
WASI continues
its technology push by establishing their own Gateway to
the Timeshare Information Exchange (TIX). As part
of this
effort, WASI adds Trading Places
International's iCondoVacations network to the Timeshare Information Exchange (TIX),
representing an additional 65 million travelers. Timeshares
are now distributed through TIX to a market that
exceeds 100 million. To meet this growing demand, WASI
adds inventory from a major hotel chain, two major exchange
companies, and independent wholesalers to the TIX
live market feed.
The reported
timeshare ADR
for 2005 is $109. At $204, WASI's
ADR nearly doubles that number. WASI attributes
this stellar performance to a combination of high-quality
weeks and increased demand from its connection to
a TIX live market feed. "Adding the icondovacations.com
closed-network, membership-based markets was a real boost
to our rental program", comments Brigette Porro, WASI's Resort
Relations Director. WASI plans to continue to target premium owner-direct
rental inventory.
WASI started
with the fundamental principles of supply and demand,
added seasoned industry knowledge, and developed a
targeted marketing strategy that delivers superior
performance for timeshare sellers and virtually
eliminates competition with primary market sales.
We call our approach Managed Market® and it
works. Properties listed with WASI yield owners 20% to
30% more than the secondary market average. WASI
closed 2005 doubling its sales over 2004.
Owners who
list with WASI have always enjoyed access to our
in-house Title and Escrow services. As a dual
agent, WASI commands a uniquely efficient position when
negotiating closing terms. Express
Close® launched in 2005 in
response to buyer requests for quicker closing of their
timeshare purchase. WASI utilizes technology and
captured seller information to
reduce paperwork traditionally associated with
closings that drive up costs and
timeframes. WASI is now making Express
Close®
available to Management
companies and Owner Associations.

World Access
Systems Inc. (WASI) and ResortScope.com announced in
January their agreement to integrate their complementary
resort marketing services by utilizing automation
technology. By co-branding the products offered by WASI
and ResortScope, resort developers, marketers, and
managers will now have access to one-stop internet
marketing services such as Lead/Tour Generation, Rental
Inventory Distribution, Owner Servicing, Multimedia, and
Website Advertising. WASI and ResortScope will integrate
their inventory databases and double their exposure.
Unsold developer inventory, owner inventory, and club
inventory will now be distributed through various
markets to targeted consumers. Combining WASI’s ability
to facilitate resort re-sales and owner rental programs
with ResortScope’s capacity to generate rental guests
and timeshare tours, the co-branded partnership becomes
an attractive alternative to multiple channel
management.
